How to Work With Brick Masonry Calculator?
This calculator easily calculates nos. of Bricks after finding cement and sand. This find as per the below step.
Step – 1.
Select unit like Meter or Feet as per required in below picture.
Step – 2.
After select unit then enter Length and Width in working area of brick masonry shown in below picture.
Step – 3.
After filling Unit, length, width then fill wall thickness.
Fill wall thickness as per your requirement like a 4.5-inch brick wall ( Partition wall or half brick masonry), 9-inch brick wall (this wall using normal construction work) Also available in mm. As per below picture show a different type of wall size available like 115 mm, 230 mm, 345 mm, 460 mm.
Step – 4.
Select Cement Sand Ratio as per required in construction as shown in below picture.
Step – 5.
After completing process then receive the answer, Nos of brick, Cement Bag, and Sand in cu.m.

Sr.No. | Details | Brick Size in mm. | Brick Size in Feet. |
---|---|---|---|
1. | Indian Brick Size / Standard Brick Size in India | 230 mm X 115 mm X 75 mm | 9 inch X 4.5 inch x 3 inch |
2. | Cement Bricks Size | 230 mm X 75 mm X 50 mm | 9 inch X 3 inch X 2 inch |
3. | AAC Block Size | 600 mm X 200 mm x 100 mm | 24 inch x 8 inch x 4 inch |
4. | Concrete Block Size | 600 mm X 200 mm x 100 mm | 24 inch x 8 inch x 4 inch |
5. | First Class Brick Size | 190 mm X 90mm X 90mm | 7.5 inch X 3.5 inch x 3.5 inch |
6. | Second Class Brick Size | 250mm X 120mm X 70mm | 9.75 inch X 4.75 inch X 2.75 inch |
7. | Third Class Brick Size | 230 mm X 100 mm X 75 mm | 9 inch X 4 inch X 3 inch |
How to Calculate Brick Work ?
Total brick work area calculation = Length * Width * Thickness like (1 m * 8.7 m x * 0.115 m = 1.00 cu.m.)
How to Calculate Brick Quantity ?
• As per Indian standard size of brick = 230 mm * 114 mm * 76 mm
• 8mm thick cement mortar in brick.
• After 8 mm thick mortar brick size change = 238 mm * 123 mm * 83 mm
• Bricks in Cube meter = (1 m3 / (0.238 m * 0.123 m * 0.083 m)) = 412 nos. bricks
How Many Bricks in a Cube ?
Indian Brick Size / Standard Brick Size in India (230 mm * 114 mm * 76 mm) = 411 nos. bricks
Cement Bricks Size (230 mm * 75 mm * 50 mm)= 873 nos. bricks
AAC Block Size (600 mm * 200 mm * 100 mm)= 74 nos. bricks
Concrete Block Size (600 mm * 200 mm * 100 mm)= 74 nos. bricks
First Class Brick Size (190 mm * 90mm * 90mm)= 526 nos. bricks
Second Class Brick Size (250mm * 120mm * 70mm)= 389 nos. bricks
Third Class Brick Size (230 mm * 100 mm * 75 mm)= 469 nos. bricks
How to Calculate Mortar Quantity in Brickwork ?
As per below the process calculate mortar quality in brickwork.
Volume of 1 brick = (0.23 m * 0.114 m * 0.076 m) = 0.001993 meter cube.
Volume of 1 brick with mortar = (0.238 m * 0.122 m * 0.084 m) = 0.002439 meter cube.
No of bricks in 1 cum = volume/volume of bricks with mortar = 1/0.0019 = 411 Bricks.
Volume covered by 411 bricks in 1 Cum Volume = (Bricks number * Volume of 1 brick).
400 Bricks Volume = 411 * 0.001993 = 0.819 meter cube.
Volume = (Total volume – volume of bricks).
Mortar volume = 1 – 0.819 = 0.181 meter cube. (wet volume).
Dry Volume = 0.19 * 1.33 = 0.2407 meter cube (dry Volume). Where (1.33 is a constant)
How Much Sand and Cement for Brickwork ?
Here we consider cement mortar ratio 1:5
Cement
Cement = (Dry volume * Ratio * Density of cement in 1 cum)/Sum of Ratio.
Cement = (0.2407 * 1 * 1440)/(1+5)
Cement = 57.77 kg /50 <1 bag = 50 kg>
Cement = 1.16 bags
Sand
Sand = (Dry volume * Ratio )/Sum of Ratio.
Sand = (0.2407 * 5 )/6
Sand = 0.20 cubic meter
Video tutorial for better understanding:
Cement Mortar Calculation
- Density of Cement = 1440 kg/m3.
- Sand Density = 1450-1500 kg/m3.
- >Density of Aggregate = 1450-1550 kg/m3
- How many KG in 1 bag of cement = 50kg.
- Cement quantity in litres in 1 bag of cement = 34.7 litres.
- 1 Bag of cement in cubic metres = 0.0347 cubic meter.
